Standard 2: Skill and Fitness Based Competence
Physical education teacher candidates are physically educated individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate competent movement performance and health enhancing fitness as delineated in the NASPE K-12.

Physical education teachers should be able to not just teach different skills but should also be able to demonstrate the basic cues of each skill as well. Not all students’ intake information the same way and being able to effectively demonstrate and explain skills is an important tool to have. It is both a visual and verbal way to get the information across to students. As educators we are responsible for student learning, and want our students to get the most out of our classes. In this section you will find Fitness logs, peer rating sheets, teacher check lists, etc…to demonstrate my skill competency while at Keene State College.
